3. What has your career journey been like so far?
I’ve been fortunate to be engaged in the on-site lining aspect of the business since its inception. Starting as a lining engineer, my responsibilities included installing pool liners nationwide and providing training to new team members. My journey began as an On-site Lining Engineer, advanced to Senior On-site Team Leader, and has now evolved into the position of Site Project Manager.
4. What does a typical day look like for you?
Every day is different for me; I might be traveling for on-site visits across the country, meeting with both existing and prospective clients. I could also be troubleshooting on-site with clients or our site lining teams. In the office my time may be spent writing reports, attending meetings with various departments, and collaborating with our technical sales team and service team to anticipate and reduce potential issues before they occur during the lining installations.
5. How would you describe the company culture?
While I may not have the opportunity to be in the office frequently, I find it to be a welcoming and friendly environment when I am there. Everyone is supportive and respectful, and although workplace issues can arise, they are addressed in a constructive manner through direct line managers and/or HR.
6. What is the best thing about working at Certikin?
Being part of a market leader like Certikin means always staying ahead of the game, which is important to me. I appreciate the positive advancements in the market that Certikin must make to maintain its top position. This commitment to progress is reflected in the new purpose-built building, showcasing the company’s dedication to evolving with the times. I take pride in being an employee of such a forward-thinking organization.
7. How would you describe your co-workers and managers?
I always appreciate the helpful and accommodating nature of my colleagues. Due to my limited time in the office environment, catching up with the necessary people and departments can sometimes feel a bit rushed. However, I am grateful that I can drop in on someone without prior notice, and it is never a problem.
8. What is your team like?
Our team is exceptional. We are fully committed to our work and dedicated to becoming the top liner installers in the country. This dedication is evident in both our Technical Sales Team and Service Team alike. Without their support we wouldn’t have the opportunities to showcase our skills. I am grateful to my direct manager and higher management for encouraging my growth and development within the company.
9. How has the organisation helped you with your development?
I consider myself lucky enough to have been given the chance to evolve alongside the On-site lining division of the business. The journey to our current success has been demanding, but the effort we have put in has not gone unnoticed and has been met with recognition and appreciation.

Like most things, you get out what you put in. If you have what it takes, then it won’t go unnoticed.
